VITAL Youth Ministry
Mission Statement
To inspire youth to grow as disciples of our Lord; living their Catholic faith together with family, friends, and community through prayer and action.
VITAL stands for Vision, Inclusive, Tools, Accountability, Life-giving. The Vision & Process of the Vital Youth Ministry Planning Team was to develop and build a Youth Ministry that attracts and positively impacts our Youth. It involves the whole parish to follow the vision, make disciples, and build leadership. We need to build a community of disciples through pray, faith, and love for one another. The plan has a sense of ownership, builds a mission, and has a strategic plan by involving a community of adults who foster a vibrant and contagious faith within leadership. After establish goals and developing action plans, we will build an evangelizing community like Jesus by sharing our faith and inviting the Youth to a closer relationship with Christ by helping them to mature in the Spirit of God and live a full life by developing spiritual growth in their faith and becoming peer leaders.
Our Vital Youth Ministry Planning Team Goals have included the following:
Intercessory Prayer Base with the Purpose to develop an
organized, comprehensive and impacting intercessory prayer base for Youth
Ministry at Holy Rosary Parish.
Communications with the Purpose to ensure that consistent
and pertinent information regarding Youth Ministry is effectively communicated
to the Youth, their parents, potential team leaders and their team, the
parish family, and the outside community.
Youth Liturgy & Worship with the Purpose to develop an
organized, vibrant and participating Youth Liturgy and Worship Events for
Youth Ministry at Holy Rosary Parish.
Justice and Service with the Purpose to develop a vibrant
and participating Justice and Service Program and oversee the planning and
implementation of direct service, social change, and justice programming
at Holy Rosary Parish.
Youth Evangelization with the Purpose to develop a vibrant
and participating Youth Evangelization Plan and direct and oversee Large
Group/Small Group Evangelization programming at Holy Rosary Parish.
Student Leadership/Peer Ministry with the Purpose to develop
a vibrant and participating Student Leadership/Peer Ministry Team by directing
and overseeing the Team of Holy Rosary Parish.
Social and Fun Events with the Purpose to develop vibrant
and participating Social and Fun Events and oversee the planning and implementation
of Social and Fun Events at Holy Rosary Parish.
Adults will be needed in each of our Vital Youth Ministry Goals'
Areas.
It takes an entire parish to build a vibrant Youth Ministry!!
